Михайла Найдана, перекладача віршів Антонича (і не тільки) англійською (The Essential Poetry of Bohdan Ihor Antonych: Ecstasies and Elegies, Bucknell University Press, 2010), на додачу до італійського перекладу “Трьох перстенів” публікую тут і переклад англійський. Чудовий матеріал для порівняльного аналізу і просто чудовий вірш.

THREE RINGS

.

On the wall a winged violin,
a black jug, a flowery box.
Creative fires slumber in the violin,
the musical dew is silver and deep blue.

.

In the flowery box a singing root,
an intoxicating herb, wax, and seeds,
and at the very bottom three stars,
the bright stone of three rings.

.

In the crimson jug a mint libation,
green maple droplets.
Bells, a winged string,
for love and mad spring!

.

The top is being lifted up,
the jug is circling, the box singing.
And the sun, like a flaming bird,
and morning, leaning against a fence.
